Luxury holidays in Andros

When to go

Andros is especially lovely in the springtime, when flowers bloom everywhere and you can pluck berries straight from the branch to snack on.

Getting there

  • Planes

You’ll need to fly to Athens then drive down to Rafina Port (about an hour by car), and catch the ferry to Andros (via Tinos). Or you can fly to Mykonos and take the ferry from there.
  • Boats

The only way to reach Andros is by boat, but several ferry services run to and fro frequently. The journey takes around two hours (both stop at Tinos).
  • Automobiles

You can hire a car in Andros, but keep in mind that many of the roads were built to meander along with mules and haven’t really been upgraded since, and some require a four-wheel drive, so it’s best to book a transfer and leave driving to the locals.
