Luxury holidays in New Cuyama
Just a few hundred lucky people are residents of New Cuyama in Santa Barbara County’s Cuyama Valley, an accurately self-proclaimed ‘hidden valley of enchantment’ and a regular road-trip destination in the desert for sensible motorcycle and car rallies. An oil-boom town since the mid-century days, New Cuyama’s community spirit lives on, with ranchers, roadies and everyone in between coming together for sunshine, stargazing and hikes through the Los Padres National Forest.
When to go
April to October is the best time to visit, with dry, sunny days, but it can get into the mid thirties in July. The coldest months are December and January – though by cold we mean an average temperature of 16 degrees Celsius.
