Luxury holidays in Boca Raton

On Florida’s sunny south-eastern shores, Boca Raton has plenty to keep snowbirds smiling all year long, especially if they’re hoping to play golf, set sail from the marina or convalesce on a golden beach. It’s also a happy place for nature lovers, with a sea-turtle sanctuary, butterfly garden and hiking (or gentle strolling) trails within the oceanfront Gumbo Limbo Nature Center; and culture vultures, with its Mediterranean Revival architecture, an impressive arts museum and a yearly festival. Fellow Floridian (literal) hotspots Palm Beach and Miami are less than an hour’s drive away.

When to go

There’s a reason Florida’s so popular with snowbirds: winter temperatures average 23 degrees celsius. Summers in subtropical Boca Raton are hot, humid and a little damp. Hurricane season in the Caribbean is between June and November.
